Who is responsible

What we keep, and why

From the contact form, only what you send: your name if you give it, your email address, and your message.

We use it to answer you, and for nothing else: no mailing list, no profile, nothing passed on or sold. For visitors in the European Union and the United Kingdom, the basis is our legitimate interest in answering a message you chose to send (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Booking a call

The “Book a call” links open Calendly, a scheduling service based in the United States, on its own site. What you enter there (your name, your email address, anything you write, and the time you choose) is kept in our Calendly account, which Calendly runs for us, under its own privacy notice, and may be processed in the United States.

We use it to hold the call and to answer you, for the same reason as a message, and delete the booking a year after the call.

Where

On our own server, run by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestrasse 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany, in Falkenstein, Germany (European Union). Your name, email address and message are encrypted together before they are stored, so the database alone does not reveal them.

For how long

Until we have answered you, then a year, after which the message is deleted. Before each update of the site, a copy of the database is made on the same server; the last five are kept, so a deleted message leaves those copies within five updates.

What we do not keep

Your internet address is used in memory only, to limit how many messages one address can send in an hour; it is never written down, nor logged. The site sets no cookies, and runs no analytics and no script from anyone else.

Your rights

You can ask to see what we keep about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted, by writing to hello@keykibotos.com. We answer within 30 days. If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may also complain to your data protection authority.
